mindTHEgAPP Live is a Garmin Connect IQ data field for displaying live race information on compatible Garmin devices.
This privacy policy explains what data is used by mindTHEgAPP Live and how that data is handled.
- Data Used by the App
mindTHEgAPP Live uses the following app settings:
- Server URL
- Bib number / start number
The bib number is used to request the correct race perspective from the mindTHEgAPP server. The server URL is used to determine where the app retrieves live race data from.
The app requests race information from the configured server endpoint, such as current rank, gap ahead, gap behind, latest checkpoint, and related live race status.
- Data Not Collected
mindTHEgAPP Live does not collect, transmit, or store:
- GPS location
- Health data
- Heart rate data
- Activity files
- Garmin account details
- Contact information
- Payment information
- Personal messages
- Device sensor data
The app does not use advertising, tracking SDKs, or third-party analytics.
- Network Access
mindTHEgAPP Live requires internet access through the connected Garmin device and paired smartphone in order to retrieve live race data.
Requests are sent to the configured mindTHEgAPP server. These requests may include the configured bib number in order to return the correct race perspective.
Standard server logs may temporarily include technical information such as request time, requested URL, IP address, and user agent. These logs are used only for operating, debugging, securing, and improving the service.
- Data Storage and Retention
The bib number and server URL are stored as Garmin Connect IQ app settings.
mindTHEgAPP does not intentionally store personal user data from the Garmin device. Server logs, if created, are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for operation, troubleshooting, and security.
- Data Sharing
mindTHEgAPP Live does not sell user data.
Data submitted to or requested by the app is submitted to mindTHEgAPP, not to Garmin. Garmin is not responsible for data processed by mindTHEgAPP.
Data may be processed by hosting or infrastructure providers as necessary to operate the mindTHEgAPP server.
- Children’s Privacy
mindTHEgAPP Live is intended for race participants, coaches, organizers, and testers. The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
- User Choices
Users can stop using the app at any time by removing the data field from their Garmin activity profile or uninstalling the app from their Garmin device.
Users can change or remove the configured bib number and server URL through the app settings in Garmin Connect or the Connect IQ Store app.
